1. Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts
On an island off of East Coast sits Martha’s Vineyard, perfect for a grand getaway. Trips to Martha’s Vineyard are nothing less than nautical, and historical. From cottages with room for two, or an entire house for the family, you can easily find a rental on the island.
The vineyard is home to quaint shops and restaurants you won’t find anywhere else. You can go whale watching, take a tour of the island, or have a long walk on the beach. Both on season, and off-season, Martha’s Vineyard has a variety of activities that will be sure to give you that pleasant vay-kay you’re looking for.
2. Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania
No matter the season, the Pocono Mountains has it all. This is a popular place to be in the summer, due to the numerous lakes, hiking trails with luscious waterfalls, and family-friendly rentals. The lakes draw in people for waterskiing, boating, kayaking and soaking up the sun.
But the Pocono Mountains have so much to offer for any season. The hiking trails are gorgeous in sunshine, rain, sleet or snow. Numerous mountains offer skiing and snow tubing for the winter lovers. You won’t have any problems trying to find things to do in these wonderful mountains of Pennsylvania, no matter when you plan your trip.
3. Hickory Hill in Bath, New York
Campgrounds are a great place to go all year long. Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort is one of those great campgrounds because it has the woodland cabins families cherish spending their vacations in. Cabins make the stay comfortable for everyone, with AC for the summer and heat for the winter.

If history isn’t your thing, there are many attractions that bring in tourists to Williamsburg. Busch Gardens is a huge theme park with rides for every age. There are also plenty of art museums in Williamsburg as well. This is definitely a place you want to go if you’re planning a trip to the East Coast.
5. Outer Banks, North Carolina
This is the beach lover’s haven. The Outer Banks is typically known for its summer season. The beautiful beaches attract people to spend their summer vacation there. Summer in the Outer Banks offers so many activities based on the ocean, wildlife and beaches. However, the off season offers almost just as much, with less people.
The nice thing about going to a beach area in the off-season is that people travel less. The rental rates are usually less pricey. But, the beaches don’t move.
Imagine waking up to fresh coffee in your rental home and watching the sunrise over an empty beach. You can go for a private walk to find shells, coral and more washed up on shore. So you need a sweatshirt or coat if it isn’t summer. That’s the best time to get away to the Outer Banks for that R&R you know you deserve.
6. Disneyworld, Florida
If you can’t handle crowds, then Disney World is not the place for you. Disney World never has a “slow” season. Florida attracts people all year round with it’s warm temperatures. Although winter is a less busy season, it’s still crowded. The best place on the East Coast is Disney World. It’s full of magic whether you’re a new born baby, day-dreaming toddler, teenager or an adult.
The resorts and attractions Disney World has to offer is outstanding. You definitely get your money’s worth visiting each park Disney World has. Take your picture with your favorite Disney character. Go on rides featuring your favorite Disney movies. It’s always a magical vacation in Disney World.
